Pioneering location

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is a global missions movement that began in 1960 with one simple vision — to know God and make Him known. YWAM Rotterdam, located in the Netherlands, is part of this worldwide family. We are passionate about seeing lives transformed through discipleship, training, and evangelism — from Rotterdam to the ends of the earth.

A unique experience

At this point, YWAM Rotterdam has no permanent base in the Netherlands; therefore, we rent various locations for our trainings. Meanwhile, because of that, we can offer unique experiences. For example, by connecting urban and coastal life. We are excited that our DTS can take place at the coast of Ouddorp, where you can enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty of the surroundings. At the same time, you can participate in urban outreaches in Rotterdam every week. But there is more. When we talk about our DBS, it will most likely take place in an urban monastery!

Learning and living out

Speaking about our DTS: in Ouddorp, you can slow down, grow in your faith surrounded by nature, and enjoy adventurous activities like kite surfing and other water sports. In Rotterdam, you’ll discover a dynamic city rich in cultural diversity and offering numerous opportunities for urban-focused mission projects. After all, Rotterdam is the second-largest city in the Netherlands, after Amsterdam, and remains the largest harbour in Europe. But anyway, Ouddorp and Rotterdam together create the perfect environment for growing in your relationship with God while practicing making Him known.

What we offer

Discipleship Bible School 

The Discipleship Bible School (DBS) is a 3-month course designed to help you dive deep into God’s Word and discover His heart from Genesis to Revelation. It’s the perfect next step after completing a Discipleship Training School (DTS) — a time to grow in understanding and intimacy with God. Throughout the DBS, you’ll read the entire Bible, explore the historical context of each book, and learn how the stories connect to reveal God’s redemptive plan for humanity. As you study, you’ll see how Scripture applies to your own life and how to communicate biblical truth to others.

Community Nights

YWAM Rotterdam invites you to join our weekly Community Nights in Ouddorp. These evenings are all about connecting with God, connecting with each other, and being inspired to surrender your life to Jesus. These evenings are open to everyone in the area – people of all ages and backgrounds. So you are warmly welcome to come, participate, and experience community together!

Discipleship Training School

The Discipleship Training School (DTS) is a 6-month journey designed to help you know God personally and make Him known to others. It’s a time set apart to grow in your relationship with Jesus and experience what it means to live a life fully surrendered to Him. During the 3-month Lecture Phase, you’ll learn from inspiring speakers on topics such as hearing God’s voice, identity, missions, and the nature and character of God. Take what you’ve learned into a 10–12 week Outreach Phase in another nation—sharing the gospel, serving communities, and seeing God move through you in powerful ways.

City Impact

Every Friday afternoon, we head to the streets in the south of Rotterdam to meet people, talk about faith, and offer prayer. Most people are open to it, and we often see God touch lives and even perform miracles. Do you want to join us?

Revive Rotterdam

We love hosting Youth with a Mission outreach teams! There are plenty of opportunities for DTS students to teach, preach, and share their testimonies. We refer to these outreach weeks as Revive Rotterdam. Every team has the potential to make a significant impact.

YWAM Connect

During our YWAM Connect evenings, you’ll meet others who have also completed a DTS. We gather around a meal and take time to get to know each other better. There isn’t a fixed program, but there’s always space to listen, pray for one another, and encourage each other. Let us know if you’d like to join sometime! Please note: these evenings only take place when there is no training school running.

The Send is a global movement that encourages and equips young people to share the good news of Jesus — in their own communities and/or around the world.
